Oconomowoc, Wisconsin (July 19, 2024) - Pabst Racing has announced that 21-year-old Dutch driver Glenn van Berlo will replace Christian Brooks in the no. 19 Deploy Surveillance Tatuus IP-22 for the Streets of Toronto July 19-21.
Brooks, who has competed with Pabst Racing in the USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire thus far in 2024 has made the move to compete in INDY NXT for the remainder of the season, opening his seat for van Berlo to fill.
“Firstly, I would like to extend my gratitude to the Pedersen family (of Deploy Surveillance) for this incredible opportunity,” said van Berlo. “With Christian Brooks moving to INDY NXT and performing really well so far, his seat in the USF Pro 2000 became available. I am very grateful to Deploy Surveillance for entrusting me with this chance to drive for such a successful team as Pabst.
Glenn van Berlo, who comes from Veghel, Netherlands has an extensive racing background with recent experience competing in IMSA Weathertech’s LMP3 class, as well as GT World Challenge Endurance LMP3 and the European Le Mans Series. With prior single-seater experience in 2019 (Formula 4) and 2020 (EuroFormula Open), van Berlo expressed his thoughts on this upcoming opportunity to drive in the USF Pro 2000 Championship.
“My last formula racing season was in 2020 before I transitioned to sports car racing,” said van Berlo. “However, my passion for single-seater racing has always remained strong, and I am eagerly looking forward to the weekend and collaborating with Pabst. This will be my first experience racing in Toronto and on a street course, making it an exciting challenge that will require quick adaptation.”
On-track activity will begin Friday July 19th with a single practice session for USF Pro 2000 at 11am ET.
